Seto Shuzo
Azumacho's hometown, Shiota Town, Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, is located in the west of the Saga Plain, upstream of the Shiota River which flows into the Ariake Sea.
This is a quiet rural town blessed with an abundance of high-quality rice, which is essential for sake brewing, clean inland air, and clear water.
Azumacho was born here in 1789, and has been enjoyed by local people for over 200 years, generation after generation.

Kobayashi Shuzo Honten
Our brewery is located in Umi Town, Kasuya District, just outside Fukuoka City, surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains and rivers. Founded in 1792, during the Kansei era of the Edo period, by the first-generation Sakugorō Kobayashi, we have upheld a steadfast commitment to crafting truly delicious sake across eight generations.
Though small in scale, we rely on time-honored techniques and meticulous handcrafting. We use only locally sourced ingredients, including Fukuoka-grown sake rice varieties such as Yamada Nishiki and Yumeikkon, along with pure water from the Sangun mountain range—staying true to our deep roots in the Fukuoka region.

Sentoku Shuzo
Founded in 1903, we are the only brewery in Miyazaki Prefecture dedicated exclusively to sake production, with a history spanning over a century. Our sake is crafted using premium sake rice varieties such as Yamada Nishiki and Hanakagura, cultivated under contract across various regions of Miyazaki. We also use select non-glutinous rice from other parts of Japan.
The brewing water comes from the abundant subsoil flow of the Gokase River, which originates in Takachiho—a land steeped in myth. This pure river, so clean that even sweetfish thrive in it, serves as the lifeblood of our sake.
At Sentoku Shuzo, we remain true to over 100 years of tradition and craftsmanship. In the warm southern climate of Miyazaki, our toji and brewers work with sincerity, care, and dedication to produce sake that embodies the spirit of our homeland.
